Handistep with Reverse Sensors as an optional extra
Taking “Duty of Care” very seriously, Handistep have now released another version of their unique safety rear step system for Light Commercial Vehicles following extensive testing.

The bespoke system has been specifically designed for the Handistep product with features such as vibration proof sensors (tested and EMC approved) that have a 7 degree upturn in the sensor wand to give additional warning on overhanging hazards such as skips where normal style sensors which have a flat top to the reverse wand signal would not identify.
The sensor kit can be ordered at the same time as placing your step order, whereby the reverse sensors would be installed during manufacture of the step thus saving valuable installation time when fitting the Handistep product to your vehicle.
Pre wired and using dedicated IP68 rated connection plugs further ensure a quality product unlike any other sensors that are offered in the UK market place.
Should a reverse sensor update be required after installation of a normal Handistep, again this can also be offered as all step frames feature the necessary clearance holes in the metalwork needed to facilitate retrofitting the Handistep sensor kit to the Handistep rear step.
Further additions to the reverse sensor kit specification can also be provided with a park distance digital read out - dash mounted control making the system even more effective, being able to identify where the object / distance is in relation to the rear of the vehicle.
Many major fleets now specify Handistep with reverse sensors as standard, taking “Duty of Care” very seriously wanting to ensure drivers are fully aware of unseen objects behind them.
